Not Covered
Twelve people in the waiting room. Time for nine.
You're the doctor at Clinic Nine, a Halvorsen Health urgent care in Riverside. Corporate policy decides who is covered. You decide who is seen, what's wrong with them, and whether to follow the policy.
- Triage the waiting room. Critical patients don't wait forever.
- Examine: order tests, read the chart, tell the look-alikes apart.
- Verify the photo ID and patient record.
- Decide: treat, send home, or flag for Compliance. Then sign.
Treat someone the policy says to turn away, and they live. Compliance might pull the chart. The write-ups cost money, and your family needs the money.
14 shifts. Several endings. About 1–2 hours.
This is a playtest. It's rough in places. Please leave a comment: what confused you, where you got stuck, which ending you got.
A game about the pressures on doctors. The medicine is simplified for the game. It's not medical advice.
